JOB SUMMARY Reporting directly to the Assistant Financial Director, responsible for performing highly specialized and complex professional accounting duties in accordance to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB), and applicable laws, codes, and regulations. Functions as a lead accountant, mentors staff regarding policies, practices, and procedures in the financial division within the Auditor’s Office and provides technical advice and assistance to accounting staff in all other county departments. EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED Develops and recommends financial policies, procedures, and standards Works directly with leadership to re-evaluate processes, procedures, and workloads within the
